PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop design concepts for interior spaces. Create detailed interior design plans, including layouts, color schemes, and material selections. Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Provide expertise in space planning, aesthetics, and functionality. Manage budgets and timelines for projects. Collaborate with other professionals for seamless coordination. Provide expertise in design principles, materials, and lighting. Communicate and present design concepts to clients and teams. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field.
- Relevant work experience as an interior designer in the construction or architecture industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating detailed interior design plans, including space layouts, color schemes, material selections, and furniture and lighting specifications.
- Proven experience in coordinating with vendors and subcontractors for procurement and installation of materials and furnishings.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to interior design and construction.
- Track record of successfully managing budgets and timelines for interior design projects, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in using design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, materials, and lighting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively convey design concepts to clients and project teams through visual aids, such as 3D renderings, mood boards, and presentations.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals, such as architects, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless coordination of interior design elements with overall construction plans.
